Valentine's Day In Review - Part 2

As you can see, I've been in 'craft mode' recently.  The other Valentine's goodies I made can be found here.  So, once I finished all of the goodies for the kiddos, I started on goodies for the adults.
Aren't these cute boxes?  And I couldn't believe how easy and quick they were.  I made 5 from one sheet of cardstock!  These were perfect little gifts to fill with chocolate and give to some of the staff at my daughter's school.  Very fun!  I was inspired by Julie - again!

Below is the tag I made for my daughter's teacher.  She likes gummy bears, so we bought a bag and decided to play on the words - You're Beary Amazing.

Valentine's Day In Review - Part 1

Wow!  I'm am SO behind on blogging!  I have so many fun things to share!  Where does the time go?   (Could it have gone to 2 kids, class field trips, class parties, getting ready for Valentine's Day etc.?) {smile}

I'll start with Valentine's Day - the treats above were part of the many goodies I gave to my kids along with my nieces and nephews.  I got the idea from Julie - I LOVE her ideas.

Below are the goodies my daughter and I made for her class.  She's got 27 kids in there.  We had a fun time putting these together.  They were very easy and so cute!  Thank goodness for the Monster Hugs Valentines Kits.  (Sorry, they're no longer available.)

Here's how I did my daughter's hair for Valentine's Day.  She was so excited that it was shaped like a heart.  Thankfully, she let's me experiment with her hair A LOT.  Here's where this hairstyle came from.

Thanks for stopping by!  There's more to come!

Bright & Cheery 'Window' Card

I finally dusted off some colors that I hadn't played with before.  The newest In Colors are a bit of a challenge for me to use so I dared myself to find a way to use the color Crisp Cantaloupe.  Thanks to my handy Color Coach, I saw the combination of Soft Suede and Crisp Cantaloupe that I knew I could work with.  I combined these colors with the one of the Splitcoaststampers Creative Crew Challenges for February.
  • CCREW0214CF - Catalog focus: punches!
Stampin'Up! has so many great punches that make our cardmaking that much more fun. Use a punch or punches to create a window card.
Now a 'window' card can be interpreted MANY different ways, but since I'd recently come across a card in my craft room that I'd made a LONG time ago with the same layout, I decided to go with this kind of window card.
I have to admit, it bothers me that the flowers are not centered (perfectionist, I know) but it was intentional.  Actually, I was hoping they'd be more random on the squares, but I went with what I got.   I'm happy I dusted off the Crisp Cantaloupe...finally.

Cardstock: Crisp Cantaloupe, Soft Suede, Whisper White
Ink: Crisp Cantaloupe, Soft Suede
Stamps: Secret Garden Express Yourself
Accessories:  Big Shot, Squares Collection Framelits Dies, Whisper White 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon

Stampin' Up! Language of Love Valentine

I always get inspired by looking at other people's cards.  I'm not sure how I came upon this card, but I loved the look AND the layout.   I figured it was the perfect time to ink up one of the new stamps sets that I received at the Stampin' Up! Leadership Conference last month - Language of Love.  This was also a great card for my card classes to do - it's easy to duplicate.

Not only is this a great Valentine's Day Card, but this card also fits in with one of the Splitcoaststampers Creative Crew Challenges for February.
  • CCREW0214SF- Scrapbook and More Focus: Random Acts of Kindness Day is February 17.   Send a RAK to someone this month after you share it with us. This can be anything!
I think this fits!  What do you think?

Baby Shower Lambs

This sweet sheep/lamb is one of the most popular posts on my blog.  I was asked last week to make 175 of these for a baby shower and to make them appropriate for a boy.  Here's what I came up with!

Here's part of the process of how I put them all together.  I shipped them flat (to be assembled later) so they would survive in the mail.  Do you like how I used my Tupperware divided dish to separate out the different pieces?
